Purpose of this site:

• This is a collection of the best bird pictures I've taken, by species.  Whatever I consider my "best" photograph of each species is posted and linked to the full-sized Flickr image.     -During the creation of this site, I've noticed that there's no "best" picture of a lot of birds, particularly the most common ones.  For many birds, I've got a lot of "pretty good" pictures and I'm not thinking too hard about which one is "best."
• Each picture will have a rating, currently either "Satisfactory" or "Unsatisfactory."  This is mainly so I know which birds to focus on in the future.  
• The first goal is to replace as many Unsatisfactory pictures with Satisfactory ones.
